o72. Can't think of a title, I'm going to watch Germany vs. Spain, bye!

Hello hello! Firstly, here's a massive apology for shamelessly leaving my blog to rot, only with you few good people checking back and reading it. Here's to you, you good good people! *toasts champagne* :) Anyhoos, here's a treat for you fellow inhabitants of my not-anymore dead blog (I hope)! I've edited and filtered every picture here, so you'd better appreciate them! :P

Last Sunday was my Dad's 40th anniversary since the day he graduated from high school. Yes he was from Chung Ling High School! Comment if you're from Chung Ling okay! :D And no, you didn't read wrongly, it is his 40th anniversary. Don't count please, he's that old. But never old at heart, as he constantly reminds me :P
His class of 19-something threw a get-together, visited their alma mater and all that jazz. The family was invited, so we went and invited some friends too bhahaha. It felt like we were crashing the "party", but the uncles and aunties were all so gracious about it, so yay! All is good, lol :) I'll just run you through the event with accompanying pictures, I'm lazy!

001 *Imagines reggae song playing in the background*
Why do I take such good shots? *basks in self-praise* :))

002 Ready, set, go.. win ;)
Did I fail to mention that Dad, XiaoWen and I joined the darts mini competition? It was my first time at darts during the practice round and I was mortified, it was a nightmare! But then came the actual competition among all the elderly older men and women, and I won second place (by the grace of God haha)!
I won a skipping rope! I was ecstatic as it has been on my To Buy list for quite awhile now, on top of 'hula hoop'. *Hinthint* ;)

003 Next up was the apple-biting competition. I'm sure you get the drift - get a partner, no hands allowed, first to finish the apple wins.

004 Mom and Dad joined too! Haha I wish I didn't join so I get to watch them! Must've been hilarious, teehee.

005 Us and our very strategic endeavor. It was a good strategy okay! I'll hold the apple in place, XiaoWen will eat it :)

006 Guess what? We won first place bahahha :D Okay mostly because everyone else dropped their apples, but regardless, first place is first place! We won a 'Figure Twister'! I was so excited, I thought it was Twister as in the party game (I've wanted that as long as I have lived), but this was not too shabby a prize! It's fun, I've been spinning on it while watching Gossip Girl and when Mom asks what am I doing, I shout "I'm working out!"(Y) :D

007 KheenHo and LiYen. The CHARM cheerleaders who stay over at my place once every two weeks or so. How cute are they? :)

008 My little hardcore cheerleaders + KheenHo and LiYen. Lovelove* ♥

009 Next on the itenary : Kayaking! :)
See the pink on second from right, second from top? I wanted that the moment I laid eyes on it! But apparently it's a different kind of kayak, which is the 'sit-in' one, which makes it dangerous if I capsized. And I'm so deathly afraid of capsizing, I think if we happen to fall into the water, I'd die of shock and panic before I die of drowning! So we chose the sit-on one instead. *Beams* :)

010 My sisters with our oars :)

011 XiaoWen would be happy to see evidence of me not contributing anything to the rowing, haha! I would row for about 30 seconds and then put down my oars, lol. In my defence, I'm not an avid kayak-er or generally any sport which requires upper body strength. I promise you I have zero upper body strength. It's quite sad, and everyone in my family teases me about it. I am deeply affected by this :'(

012 Err.. me resting again. Heh 0:)

013 Boat ride! :)

014 Aww I love group shots!

015 Another group shot. No, I have no idea what is KheenHo doing.

016 Look at Elizabeth being all queen of the ship boat :D I love this picture of her! She's 13 by the way :)

017 Fav pic collage of the day :)

I love long days spent with my family like that. So much fun! Though I wish we went jetskiing instead. I love jetskis! :D

What's your favourite water sport? :D
And does anyone know the difference between canoeing and kayaking? :\

o48. Imma be the flyest chick, Imma be spreading my wings.

WEDNESDAY (Two days ago)
Went for a spa retreat with WeiSern @ HerbaLine, Gurney. His Mom gave us a treat, hee. Is she extremely nice or what! :D
It was a package deal, which was inclusive of :
1. A foot scrub/exfoliating thing,
2. A facial with extractions and steamer,
3. An arm & shoulder massage, and
4. A fish spa treatment *was super excited for this haha!* :D

The exfoliating thingy. It was exactly like the one at the pedicure place I go to, Nails Hansen :)
[[Sern looks super excited about washing his feet :P]]

I couldn't take pictures of the facial and everything, because we were supposed to turn our gadgets off (considering it's a spa-like atmosphere). We were separated into individual facial cubicles/rooms, and were required to change into this.. sarong-like garment. Awkward moment there.. heh heh. :\

[ Facial person ; Me ]
*gives instructions in Mandarin*
Mmm.. Am I supposed to wear this?
*nods*
Okay thanks
*closes curtains*

After 30 seconds,
Am I supposed to remove my clothes?
Yes Miss.
Oh.. Err am I supposed to remove my bra?
No, it's okay. You can leave it on.

See, folks. Lesson to be learnt : Never be ashamed of asking! :D
Imagine I just took everything off. She'd be like whoah eager/desperate much? :P

Anyways moving on, the whole facial + massage was good, except the extractions. I'd prefer & stick to my normal facialist, as I've been to her for a long time and she'd know my skin type, conditions and stuff. Whereas the beautician here does the same procedure for everyone, I reckon.

My favourite part of it all :P

The whole thing is definitely relaxing and the aromatherapy & music certainly made the atmosphere more exclusive. I would (and did) recommend people there, especially people aged 12-19! There's an ongoing promotion for teenagers which only costs RM48/pax :)
It's worth it, trust me. Can't get any cheaper. Go with friends for more fun :D
Have already planned to go with Belle & Steph soon! :)

21 November 2009

o40. I'm leeeeaaavingg.. on a jet planeee. :)

Leaving to Melbourne, Australia tomorrow morning at 7am! Bleehhh not a morning person! Haha :((
Gonna be there for two weeks! Started packing two days ago :)

Clothes all packed for summerrrr :)

I love my luggage tag :)
Like it? Get it from Fourskin, Gurney! Adoreee that shop! :D

All packed! Spot mine! :)

Unfortunately, I'll only be in Melbourne the whole time! I REALLY wish I could travel to Sydney and visit ShuMei :) Ahhh *sends love to Mei* heee :D
Anyways this time I'll be visiting my super awesome family there & also meeting up with Carin! *squeaaalss*
And I just realized that SO many people are in Melb. Like the whole of Penang is moving there. D: Scary :S HEH.
Oh and I'll try to blog as frequently. Keep up with my Tweets, darlings! :D

Sending all my love from a jetplane ;)

o32. Ready For Those Flashing Lights.

A lil of what I've been doing since the last time I blogged, haha!
Yes they're mostly food, damnnnnn :\

Baskin's.
3 quarts in July.
2 quarts in August.

They're all finished now btw :\ Such gluttony, tsk tsk :P

Anyways, what have I been up to? Mmm, I've attended a lot of family events; spent loadss of time with my family :D Truly enjoyable.

Dad's BFF's House Warming :)

Mom & sisters with Aunty Sue :)

Random shot; that's sis in the back.

I love pretty thingies like these :)
Some of them look really tacky & all, but some are just beautiful.

I WILL have a fully equipped gym in my future house, for sure! :D

Haha cough cough :P It was a spontaneous shot, so I have no excuses for this embarrassing picture :P HAHAHA.

I would need one of these.
I've always been awed by coffee machines, only for the fact that I have absolutely no idea how to use them. :P

Shopping for my room :)

Buying lotsa bedding material for my room @ Aussino :)
Love the TShirt pillow covers! :D
One reason why my family loves indulging in bedding & stuff, simply because there's all the reason to splurge on your own get away after a long day's work! :D

Yesterday; Dinner @ Azuma, Queens.

We ordered so much, it wasn't even funny! Haha the bill came up to RM198, and if you spend RM200, you're eligible for the VIP card.
So yeah, I ordered a temaki :P Heee yumm :D

Random outings & dinners.

A date with my pumpkin!

Spent hours doing nothing, chilling at Baskin's, then Starbucks, and went to watch Harry Potter with her (she has no clue what was happening HAHA iloveyoubabe :P). Took photo stickers! I'm a sucker for these! I've got tons of em in my wallet, & I love showing them off to everyone I meet haha! (:

Oh, and also I have a sudden thing for online shopping! :O Gosh, I can spend hoursssss looking at all those things! (Sis just saw me typing this and she said "Hours? More like dayssss!") Well. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do ;) HAHA!

Anyways. This is Part I of my update! Haha going out with my btches Mon&Jan in twenty! :)
Part II is gonna come up pretty soon, promise! :D - what I did on Merdeka's Eve & college gang lunch with Thessie Wessie @ Mizi's!
xx.

o25. Not A Typical RahRah Event :))

Cheer 2009 - The Biggest Cheerleading Battle/Showdown/Competition/Tournament/etc Of The Year!

[L-R] NiWen, PeiWen, XiaoWen, Me, Mom!
A family of cheerleaders; everyone was cheerleader once :)

Went down with Dad & PeiWen after college. Fun ride, fun talks :D
Reached KL, and checked into Boulevard Hotel, the place I always stay in when I'm in KL. Love that place (:
Come out of your room, get into the exclusive lift, lobby, walk through a backdoor, and the South Wing of MidValley greets you :) HELLOOOO SHOPPING SPREEEEE! ;) ;)

Had a one hour shopping trip @ MidValley, and still managed to buy loadsa stuff! Haha insanity! I love the sales there - Malaysian MegaSales! Wooohh :)) Got 4 tops from Zara, wheeee :D Damn, I sound so materialistic. I AM NOTTTTT. Haha i'm serious! Whatever looks good, suffice :)

My whole family stayed in the hotel, and everyone had different agendas! Haha :) XiaoWen, NiWen & I left for BukitJalilStadium at 8am the next day! So insanely & hyperventilatingly excited HAHA :P Reached there, got our places & waited for the event to start!

Pictures speak a thousand words; so I'll let em talk ;)

Jien! :D (don't tell me you don't know him, I KILL YOU!) :P
The host for Cheer for 10 years! :)

The crowd which come in thousands, HAHA :D
Everyone was so loud & full of energy! Haha imagine a place with 860 (no joke) participating cheerleaders & thousands of their friends/family/supporters. Haha it is so loud&mad, it's NOT even funny :P
One of the many reasons why I love Cheer! :D The cheerleaders of cheerleaders! :D

A Shirtliff supporter! :D So adorable, really.
The team who was Champion last year :)

We got 2nd for Northern Region :)
Got Champion for Northern Region last year, but it was all good, extremely proud!
"Aww you guys, I'm like a proud mamahh!" HAHAHA :))

After everything was over, went hotel hunting, as most of the hotels near the stadium was fully booked. Got a place at some mini hotel, but it was so dodgy &.. eww. So we checked out, lol.
Went to Sri Petaling Hotel and they were fully booked except their Family Deluxe Suite, so we got that! Haha :)

It was huuuuge & awesome :D Haha.
3 rooms - two bedrooms & a TV/living room :)

DAY 2 OF CHEER 2009 Nationals.

Decided to go shopping first, but didn't know where to go, so two elder sisters suggested Bangsar :) I've never been to Bangsar before! Haha such a KL noobie :S But I love it now! Many many pretty boutiques & such :) Spent an hour in Cats Whiskers, bought 4 dresses, yay. I love that place, especially the colour-coordinated clothes :D So easy to shop! :)
Headed off to Delicious, Bangsar Village for lunchh.

I love the interior :)

PeiWen :)

The food we ordered. Mmmm :)

Headed off to BukitJalilStadium, and waited for Vivacious to perform! Cheered my tonsils out :S
A clean & infractions-free performance. Great job :)

PeiWen & NiWen (+herbrokenarm)

I love this part! :D
"Come on down & show everyone your banners & flags!"

Then it was time for..
RESULTSSSSSSSS!

Champs : Blitzerz
1st runner up : Shirtliff
2nd runner up : Calyx
4th : Dynamitez
5th : Titans

Congrats, guys :))
Vivacious came in 11th. (Last year: 6th)
Not in Top 10, but crazily close.

I was more disgusted than impressed.
Stunting on hard floor is just illegal & stupid, and all cheerleaders know that. The problem is that they still continued doing it after one of the American judges came & warned them. If you want to show off, do it on the mat.

Coaches from CHARM :)
FuHun, KheenHo, LiYen & U-Sern.
Check out FuHun's Bow&Arrow! INHUMANE! HAHA.

Four sisters with the coaches who stayed at our house & played Restaurant City & the typing game till wee hours in the morning :P
Haha I'll miss em :)

Blitzerz's winning performance :)

Shirtliff.

Calyx.

CHEER FOREVER
